Fishing Report for December 19th, 2002!

Well, Happy Holidays to
all you anglers future
and past. Hope you have
a Great Holiday Season,
and May You all Have a
Happy and Healthy New
Years!

The Fall fishing has been
great, and with Winter just
a few days away, the fishing
can only get better for flats
and backcountry fishing.

Offshore fishing is doing
great with some many catches
and releases of wahoo, sailfish,
kingfish, snapper, and grouper.

Whether you choose to fish
bonefish, or go a day into
Everglades National Park.
What a great way to enjoy
the beauty of the island
chains here in the Fabulous
Florida Keys!

We have been stalking the
elusive bonefish, and in
the lasts few weeks, they have
been running oceanside and
bayside in the later mornings,
when the temperatures have
warmed the water, but these
beautiful fish have definitely
proven their agility with some
terrific runs for anglers and
is truly an experience at how
intriguing these fish are really.

With a few catches and
releases of bonefish on
fly and light tackle, the
pursuit of these gray ghosts,
can be a bit mistifying, but is
a choice species in the gamefish
for all types of anglers.

Bonefish have been in ranges
of 7lbs up to 10lbs. These
fish are the most diligent
of all the gamefish. Their
initial runs of 150 yards
definitely put the twinkle
in the anglers eyes after
they have challenged these
elusive fish.

We are getting those fly
and light tackle anglers,
coming from all over the
World and United States
coming down and pursuing
the best Saltwater Gamefishing
Ever!

Reminder to all anglers that
Snook Season closed as of Dec.
15th-Jan. 31st. You can still
fish for this awesome species,
but you will not be able to keep
them. From the opening of Snook
Season, which started on September
1st, many anglers travel to
the backcountry in Everglades
National Park to fish for these
powerful fish, and enjoy the trip
with some beautiful bird watching
also, and seeing the many islands,
dolphins and other wildlife to be
had back there.

So before heading back
into the backcountry in Everglades
National Park, don't forget your
cameras to take some grand pictures
of some of the most intriguing birds,
and of course fish.

The fishing in the backcountry
has been good, with anglers fishing for
snook, redfish, trout, jack crevelle,
ladyfish, snapper, and sharks.
Some of the days, we have had
some wind, which hampered a bit
of the backcountry fishing, but
reports of snook in the 8lb range
and up, has been reported, with
great catches of redfish.

You couldn't ask for better weather
for fishing whether on fly or light tackle.

We have had a few cold fronts
in the last few weeks, and
the winds have been primarly
out of North and Northeast
at 10-15 mph. Which makes
for a good time on the water.

Some days the water has
been smooth as glass and
other days has been a bit
bumpy, but the fishing has
been at its best early morning
just before the sun heats the day,
and early evening, just before
the sunsets for some great
fishing.

We are using live bait shrimp,
crabs and jigs on the extreme
high tides we have been experiencing.
Make sure you tip the jigs with
a small peice of shrimp, and watch
the action unfold. Bonefish and
permit love to eat these
shrimp and it is great to
catch and release these
beautiful gamefish.

We are using 8lb to 10lb test
on light tackle rods, and on
fly we are using still the
Crazy Charlie, and Klauser Minnow
patterns, and of course, the
Merkin Crab flys. It has been most
productive.

Permit fishing has been fair,
fishing on the outgoing tides
using crabs and jigs tipped
with shrimp, on those great
jigs of Hank Brown's, and
and the Millie Bucktails.
Using white and tan heads,
and I have also been
using the chartruesse
green, and white heads, tipped
with shrimp. Those powerful
permit give you a great fight
on 20lb test using a 3/0 hook.

Thanks to all the anglers who have
come down this past month
to pursue the bones, and hope
to see yah again for the tarpon
season.

Fishing Report for December 3rd, 2002!

Wow Thanksgiving came

cooler weather coming will put
the tarpon into deeper water until
the season starts in April.

Thanks to all the anglers who have
come down this past month
to pursue the bones, and hope
to see yah again for the tarpon
season.

I would like to thank Mike Sagan,
and his partner Bill for coming
down and pursuing those elusive
bonefish, and throughly enjoyed
our morning out. We caught and
released 6 bonefish, and the
boys couldn't be more happier.
Thanks Bill and Mike for the
best fishing we could experience
with cocktails after. It is
a memorable one. See yah this
tarpon season.

And would like to thank Marc
and Guiliana Savini for coming
down and having a great time
fishing in some cool weather.
Guiliana had caught and released
several ladyfish in the 3lb range,
and caught and release several
jack crevelles. Guiliana is
7 years old, and casted like
a pro, and I really enjoyed
having her Dad and her aboard
fishing together. Look forward
to another father-daughter weekend
with them both again.

Fishing Report for November 18th, 2002!

Well, we know that
Fall fishing has kicked
off with a bang!

Thanksgiving is around
the corner, and Fall is
in the air with cooler
temperatures, and warming
afternoons, the fishing
has been fantastic.

We have been pursuing the
elusive bonefish, and in
the last week, they have
definitely been elusive,
but with big fish being
caught and released.

With a few catches and
releases of bonefish on
fly and light tackle, the
pursuit of these gray ghosts,
have been a bit mistifying.

Bonefish have been in ranges
of 8lbs up to 12lbs. These
fish are the most intriguing
of all the gamefish. Their
initial runs of 150 yards
definitely put the twinkle
in the anglers eyes after
they have challenged these
elusive fish.

So lets get those fly
and light tackle anglers,
coming from all over and
coming down and pursuing
the best Saltwater Gamefishing
Ever!

Since the opening of Snook
Season, September 1st, anglers
have feverishly been heading
into the backcountry in Everglades
National Park, experiencing
a great day in fishing for
snook, redfish, trout, and some
small tarpon. We have had
some wind, which hampered a bit
of the backcountry fishing, but
reports of snook in the 8lb range
and up, has been reported, with
great catches of redfish and
some tarpon are still being
caught and released in the 30lb
to 50lb range. You couldn't ask
for better weather for fishing
whether on fly or light tackle.

The weather here has been
seasonable hot, and humid,
with Sunny mornings, and
outgoing tides early in
the morning, which is great
for those tailing fish.

We have had a few cold fronts
in the last few weeks, and
the winds have been primarly
out of North and Northeast
at 10-15 mph. Which makes
for a good time on the water.

Some days the water has
been smooth as glass and
other days has been a bit
bumpy, but the fishing has
been at its best early morning
just before the sun heats the day,
and early evening, just before
the sunsets for some great
fishing.

We are using live bait shrimp,
crabs and jigs on the extreme
high tides we have been experiencing.
Make sure you tip the jigs with
a small peice of shrimp, and watch
the action unfold. Bonefish and
permit love to eat these
shrimp and it is great to
catch and release these
beautiful gamefish.

We are using 8lb to 10lb test
on light tackle rods, and on
fly we are using still the
Crazy Charlie, and Klauser Minnow
patterns, and of course, the
Merkin Crab flys. It has been most
productive.

Permit fishing has been fair.
Fishing on the outgoing tides
using crabs and jigs tipped
with shrimp, on those great
jigs of Hank Brown's, and
and the Millie Bucktails.
Using white and tan heads,
and I have also been
using the chartruesse
green, and white heads, tipped
with shrimp. Those powerful
permit give you a great fight
on 20lb test using a 3/0 hook.

Small Tarpon are still around
the bridges and channels, but
have thinned out. Some
are still being caught and released
in Everglades National Park, just
before sunrise, and have been
hitting crabs, shrimp, pinfish,
and pilchards at night.

Backcountry fishing has been really
good. Trout fishing has been slowly
improving, and with the cooler
weather hopefully approaching,
that moves the trout to the deeper
holes and channels providing non
stop action for light tackle anglers.

But, as I stated, snook and
redfish have been prominent, with
some great catch and releases.
Snook fishing has been really good
on the high tides, and outgoing tides,
in the Channels and Potholes in Flamingo.
Again, using 2/0 and 3/0 hooks with live
bait shrimp has been good for the redfish,
and snook, with jigs also tipped with
shrimp for snook fishing.

Thanks to all the anglers who have
come down this past month
to pursue the bones, and hope
to see yah again for the tarpon
season.

The start of October has been
very good, and is almost
1/2 way through, and I can
only tell you, the upcoming
months of November and December
are going to be some Fantastic
Fishing on the Flats and Backcountry.

What a great way to enjoy some
beauty of what the Keys really offers
as far as some of the beautiful wildlife,
such as the birds, dolphins, and manatees
we see venture through these island chains.

So our Fall and Winter fishing
will definitely give the drive
for anglers on fly or light tackle,
and what a way to spend the
morning. That is why we call
it Paradise!

Also, don't forget to check
out my new Fall Value Fishing
Packages that I am offering for our
flyfishing and light
tackle enthusiasts, to come down

Fishing Report for October 30, 2002!

Well, we know that

We are using live bait shrimp,

Again, using 2/0 and 3/0 hooks with live
bait shrimp has been good for the redfish,
and snook, with jigs also tipped with
shrimp for snook fishing.

Thanks to all the anglers who have
come down this past month
to pursue the bones, and hope
to see yah again for the tarpon
season.

Fishing Report for October 10th, 2002!

Well, we know that
Fall fishing is definitely
in the air, with all the
tournaments going on, and
anglers from all over
coming down and pursuing
the best Saltwater Gamefishing
Ever!

With the opening of Snook
Season, September 1st, anglers
have feverishly been heading
into the backcountry in Everglades
National Park, experiencing
a great day in fishing for
snook, redfish, trout, and some
small tarpon. We are happy
that Tropical Storm Isadore,
and Hurricane Lily decides to
move West, which hampered a bit
of the backcountry fishing, but
reports of snook in the 8lb range
and up, has been reported, with
great catches of redfish and
tarpon. You couldn't ask
for better weather for fishing
whether on fly or light tackle.

The weather here has been
seasonable hot, and humid,
with Sunny mornings, and late
afternoon rains. The winds
have been primarly out of
the Northeast, to East, at
10-15 mph. Which makes
for a good time on the water.

Some days the water has
been smooth as glass and
the fishing has been at its
best early morning just before
the sun heats the day, and
early evening, just before
the sunsets for some great
fishing.

Bonefishing has been great
on live bait and fly.
Using live bait shrimp,
crabs and jigs on the extreme
high tides we have been experiencing.
Make sure you tip the jigs with
a small peice of shrimp, and watch
the action unfold. Bonefish and
permit love to eat these
shrimp and it is great to
catch and release these
beautiful gamefish.

We are using 8lb to 10lb test
on light tackle rods, and on
fly we are using still the
Crazy Charlie, and Klauser Minnow
patterns, and of course, the
Merkin Crab flys. It has been most
productive.

Permit fishing has been good,
fishing on the outgoing tides
using crabs and jigs tipped
with shrimp, on those great
jigs of Hank Brown's, and
and the Millie Bucktails.
Using white and tan heads,
and I have also been
using the chartruesse
green, and white heads, tipped
with shrimp. Those powerful
permit give you a great fight
on 20lb test using a 3/0 hook.

Small Tarpon are still around
the bridges and channels, but
have thinned out. Some
are still being caught and released
in Everglades National Park, just
before sunrise, and have been
hitting crabs, shrimp, pinfish,
and pilchards at night.

Backcountry fishing has been really
good. Trout fishing has been slowly
improving, and with the cooler
weather hopefully approaching,
that moves the trout to the deeper
holes and channels providing non
stop action for light tackle anglers.

But, as I stated, snook and
redfish have been prominent, with
some great catch and releases.
Snook fishing has been really good
on the high tides, and outgoing tides,
in the Channels and Potholes in Flamingo.
Again, using 2/0 and 3/0 hooks with live
bait shrimp has been good for the redfish,
and snook, with jigs also tipped with
shrimp for snook fishing.

I would like to thank Denise and Charlie
Cicio from Pt. Jefferson, NY, we had
a fun day on the water, and look forward
to them returning for the big Tarpon Season
starting next April, and really see the
excitement in them both, when they see
the power of these great species. Thanks
Guys, I really enjoyed having you aboard!

Also, would like to thank the Hirsch family,
we went to the patches on the reef, and caught
and released several porgies, yellowtail snapper,
a grouper, good going Mike, and some Moharra,
which was a fun morning. Hope to see them
too back in the tarpon season. Hope you enjoyed
your Cruise!

I also want to thank little Bobby Garafella,
who caught and released a 14 1/2 inch snook
we caught on live bait shrimp. It was not
big enough too eat, but we did release him
for another day of fighting, and congratulate
him on the 11lb bonefish he caught and released
on 8lb test. Good going, he worked hard, and
released the bonefish back for another day.

We also caught and released several jack crevelles,
skip jacks, blue runners, and mangrove snapper.
Thanks guys, and do hope to see you this upcoming
tarpon season.

The start of October has been
very good, and is almost

Backcountry fishing has been really
good. Trout fishing has been a
bit slow, with the trout moving to

redfish have been prominent, with
some great catch and releases, with
fish ranging from 7lbs. Snook fishing
has been really good on the high tides,

I would like to thank Pat Campbrell
and her husband Jack, they caught
and released a 7lb bonefish on fly,
we had a great time, and it was Pat's
first bonefish. Way to go!

We also caught and released several jack crevelles,
skip jacks, blue runners, and mangrove snapper.
Thanks guys, and do hope to see you this upcoming

Fishing Report for August 28th, 2002!

Well we know Summer is almost
coming to a close and all
the kids are going back
to school. It has been
a great Summer here in
the Keys, and between
the Fishing and the visitors
lobstering, it has been
indeed a great way to
end Summer, and start
our Fall Fishing Season
Soon.

The weather here has been
hot, and humid, with Sunny
mornings, and late afternoon
rains, but the water has
been smooth as glass and
the fishing has been at its
best early morning just before
the sun heats the day, and
early evening, just before

this beautiful gamefish.

We are using 8lb to 10lb test

Permit fishing has been fair
to good on the outgoing tides
using crabs and jigs tipped
with shrimp, on those great
jigs of Hank Brown's. We have
been using the chartruesse
green, and white heads, tipped
with shrimp. Those powerful

at night. Once the sun is up,

Backcountry fishing has been fair
to good. Trout fishing has been
poor, with the trout moving to
the deeper and cooler waters. But,
redfish have been prominent, with
some great catch and releases, with
fish ranging from 7lbs. Snook fishing
has been really good on the high tides,

I would like to thank Richard Levanda
for a good morning of fishing. As
sometimes us professionals make a
faux pas, as I did, I was poling the
flats and had my rod in my rod holder
ready to knab a bonefish passing by,
my rod decided to take a plunge in
the Atlantic! To my surprise, Richard
put his wading booties on, and decided
to go for an early morning swim to retrieve
my lost rod and reel! With determination,
he found my tackle, and with much thanks
saved the day, and also saved his Captain
some monies to have to buy a new set up.

We did have a time to remember to put Richard
back into the boat, but he made it, and with
a smile on his face, we continued to pursue
or elusive bonefish. Unfortunately, that
morning, we only saw a few fish, but the
catch of the day was that rod and reel, and
was the talk of the morning. Thanks Richard,
and I am glad the water was refreshing for
you, and you saved the day! So, it goes to
show you, we all can make mistakes and get
a laugh about what does happen when your stalking
the elusive bonefish!

Also, would like to thank James Britt, and his
sons who came down fishing! It is great to see
that our bonefish are repopulating their species,
and we did catch and release 4 small bonefish.
2 of the bonefish, were 8 inches long, I couldn't
believe the beauty, and intricacy these babies
have. Although it didn't scream out the usual
150 yards of line, but did put up a decent fight,
and tried to spin off some line, but didn't have
the right test line, if we had 2lb test, that would
have been fun. We did catch and release one of
2lbs, and another less than a pound, but was still
thrilling to see one of my favorite species still
making their way in the Keys, and I know these
bonefish will grow up someday to spool someones
flyline or light tackle line.

We also caught and released several jack crevelles,
skip jacks, blue runners, and mangrove snapper.
Thanks guys, and do hope to see you this upcoming
tarpon season.

The month of August has definitely
not been slack on the fishing
for anglers on fly or light
tackle, and the flyfishing
enthusiasts are here to challenge
their skills for our bonefish,
tarpon, permit, redfish, trout,
and snook.

Fishing Report for August 11th, 2002!

Summer is definitely here,
and the weather is picture

on the flats, and backcountry
on fly or light tackle for the
many anglers seeking out our
Keys Grand Slams!

July has been a productive
month, and August, has definitely
not been slack on the fishing
for anglers on fly or light

enthusiasts are here to challenge
their skills for our elusive gray
ghosts, and silver kings, and
powerful permits!

The upcoming Fall Months,

Capital of the World.

Well the bonefish and tarpon
are still around, early morning
and late evening fishing has
been very productive on live bait,
and fly.

We have been using live
bait shrimp and crabs on
3/0 hooks for those elusive
gray ghosts. For the fly
fisherman, we are using
Crab flies, and Crazy Charlies
with tan and white hackle
on #6 hooks, with a bit
of crystal flash. Also we
are using white bunny hair
with a bit of grizzly hackle
tied on #6 hooks to persuade
our elusive bones to eat,
has been exciting to have
them follow the fly and chew
what is a shrimp pattern, and
watch them scream flyline out
150 yards, and see the beautiful
colors of purple and blue hues
on their dorsal and tails when
caught.

Tarpon fishing has been productive,
but also a bit sluggish, they
are starting to thin out, but
before sunrise, and evening just
before dusk seems to be the
time of day for these powerful
fish, we are using on conventional
and spin casting rods live bait crabs
and pinfish, with fish ranging in size of
60 to 100lbs, and on our fly patterns,
we have been using Deceivers and
Crab Patterns on 4/0 hooks. The
Black Death seems to appeal to
these early morning fish!

Permit fishing has been fair,
and on the outgoing tides
catching and releasing fish
on live bait crabs and shrimp
on jigs, Millie Bucktails seem
to work well, in the white and
tan colors!

Backcountry fishing has been
good with catches of redfish
on the high tide in the channels,
and flats. Trout are still plentiful,
and we have also been catching and
releasing jacks, snapper, and
sharks.

With Summertime here, and
Fall not far behind, our
weather cannot get much better
than what we are experiencing,
and our winds are light
and variable, also a
perfect time for you
and your companion to tackle
those fish on fly, and to learn

been using light tackle with
our Infamous Hank Brown Hook Up

Fishing Report for June 25th 2002!

The Month of June has
started out a bit on the
wet side, but daily improvements
have come to benefit the many
anglers fishing our saltwater
gamefish!

Now we have the Tropical Wave
behind us, our Summer fishing
can only get better and better!

June is a great month for
fishing, on fly or light
tackle, and the flyfishing
enthusiasts are here to challenge
their skills for bonefish, and
tarpon!

The Months ahead, especially
July, and upcoming Summer
and Early Fall Months,
will be the time for the
flyfishing and light
tackle enthusiasts, to come down
and challenge their skills
for Tarpon, Bonefish, and
Permit. What a great
way to get the season
to a good start, than
to kick off the Summer!
What a Way to Grab a
Grand Slam!

I would like to thank
Joel Hastings and Gerry
Duva on splendid morning
catching a 9lb grouper,
which indeed was a delicious
way to end a morning trip!
Thanks Guys, and see yah
again soon.

Also would like to congratulate
Nick and Tasha Stevens from
Boston, Nick caught and released
his first tarpon on live bait,
which weighed approximately
100-110lbs, what a way to go!
We also caught and released
some bonnethead sharks on light
tackle! Great way, to start
your Saltwater adventure!

We would also like
to extend an apology to
all those anglers who
came down to pursue our
tarpon and bonefish in
the rains, that is never
a pleasing way to have
to fish between the downpours,
and only get certain shots
for fish! As you know,
we cannot predict the weather,
but do understand disappointments,
when its wet!

The weather is getting
better to give our
fly anglers better
visibility to cast
to the Silver Kings,
and Elusive Bonefish!

Of course, anglers that are
not trying the flyfishing,
it is still great on
light tackle, and
conventional tackle
to obtain one of those
Grand Slams.

With Summertime here,
and our winds here normally subside,
and a perfect time for you
and your companion to tackle
those fish on fly or
light tackle. What a experience
for either the beginner fisherman
or advanced fisherman, to benefit
a day on the water, and
open their season for those Silver
Kings or Elusive Bones, or
Powerful Permit, I am quite sure
you will see many happy faces,
and memories to treasure for years
to come.

Isn't that what it is
all about, the grandure
and power of all of these
great saltwater gamefish,
whether you choose bonefish,
tarpon, or permit, the
memories are there forever!

Well, as I said, it
has definitely arrived!
Flyfishing is definitely
on the incline with
big fish moving oceanside
and bayside. Fish
in the sizes of 60lbs
up to 100lbs plus, I
haven't changed our
fly patterns much, but
we are using of course our
deceiver flies, with
the tan and grizzly
hackle patterns, and
also using the black
and red fly patterns
and the fish are eating
them up!

With some great catches
and releases, with the
improving weather, some
great catches, and releases
builds when our anglers
have boated some of the
big fish! So get excited
and geared up so you and other
anglers can come and experience
hands on and see the spectacular
jumps and leaps from the Big Silver
Kings and catch the fever
for yourselves.

We have been catching and releasing,
some big fish from 50lbs up to 100lbs,
and it has been difficult in the
last few weeks with strong Easterly winds,
but the winds have since subsided,
and the bite will heat back up,
but has been a bit difficult for
the live bait anglers.

The fishing is going to only
get better and better! Don't forget
I offer evening trips for those
Silver Kings, and for those elusive
bonefish, it is a great to just
see the sunset, what a good
way to finish your day and evening
with a big fish on and the sunset
to boot, some great pictures!

I would still like to say a special
thanks to all of the Anglers, and
the ones that are still coming to
Paradise to fish for The Best Saltwater
Gamefish we have to offer from the
Novices of anglers to the Experienced
Anglers, and it gets no better
than this.

Bonefishing on light tackle,
we have been fishing with live bait
shrimp, and Millie bucktail jigs with tan or
white heads, and tipped with a peice
of shrimp, makes for a good bite
in the muds for these elusive fish!

Fly patterns haven't changed with a
soft tan, with white bunny hair and
grizzly hackle, with crystal flash
tied on #6 hooks.

Permit fishing has still
been moderate, fishing with
jigs, tipped with shrimp
and uusing live bait shrimp
and crabs on the wrecks and rock
piles oceanside and in
the backcountry on the outgoing
tides, but with the
weather doing a gradual
warming may find them push
back up on the flats and
wrecks for some great rod
bending.

Remember to book your trips
accordingly, dates are full,
and there is still some
openings for fly and live
bait, don't miss out on
the best action available.

Snook Season has closed as
of May 1st, and the fishing
has been good, but you know
you can only catch and release

getting better. With outgoing

been caught and released with the snook
ranging in size from 6lbs
up to 8lbs. We have
been using light tackle with
our Infamous Hank Brown Hook Up
Lures, or Millie Bucktail jigs,
tipped with shrimp, and also using
live bait pillchards, and shrimp
on a number 3/0 baitholder hook.
But Snook Season closes June, July,
and August.

Everglades National Park
has been filled with redfish,
picking up them too on the
falling tide, and using live
bait shrimp, jigs tipped with
shrimp, using 1/8oz to 1/4oz
jigs to get them out of the
potholes and channels. Also,
there has been catches and releases
of trout, jack crevelle, ladyfish,
and mangrove snapper. The
redfish being caught and released
in the 6 and 8lb range.
Also, sheepshead, snapper,
pompano, and our elusive bonefish,
being caught and released in
Everglades National Park!

We have had some reports about
patches offshore a bit, and
have caught several snapper,
porgies, barracuda, sharks,
and grouper! We have been
using pinfish, and live bait
shrimp, of course using a
chum slick over the patches
for the fish to come and eat!
Great dinner for anglers to
have after a day of fishing.

Our Spring fishing has finished,
but, has been very good, and
the upcoming Summer Months
will provide some excellent
fishing on the flats
or in the backcountry, or on
the patches. With Summer right
upon us, we leave another chapter
for the Spring fishing. Summer
is going to be as I said, an
excellent time also, and the
best challenge for even the novice,
intermediate, or advanced
anglers, and this too is
a great way to treat someone
with a Gift.

Whether this is for a late
Holiday gift, Birthday, Anniversary,
Graduation, or Just Getting Good
Grades, or just for that special
someone! It is the Perfect Getaway,
and the Best Relaxation for him or
her, or both.

So, Remember, Tarpon Season is
is here, and fly season is red
hot this time of year up through
July, and now is the time to get
your bookings and dates together for
a Great Season Starting Now, and
running through until July!
Great Time on Live Bait and
Fly for these Giant Silver Kings,
and Remember a Great Time of
the Year for the Grand Slam!
April kicks off the season,
so why don't you get ready
and get your trip in order
now, while there are dates still
available, and I can help with
group trips and hotel accommodations
for this stupendous time of year!

Make sure that all you anglers
have a good pair of amber tinted
polorized sunglasses, it's essential,
it cuts the glare a 100%, when your
sight casting to our gamefish! Also,
don't forget your sunscreen!

I offer Fishing Charter Packages,
and it's a Great Deal, with oceanfront
accommodations, and a Great Savings
for all Anglers!

I offer No Pressure Fly Instruction

Fishing Report for June 13th, 2002!

Well the Month of June has
started out wonderful, and
now we have a Tropical Wave
messing all our plans for
a great fishing start for
the Month. But, it is time
for the flyfishing and light
tackle enthusiasts, to come down
and challenge their skills
for Tarpon, Bonefish, and
Permit. What a great
way to get the season
to a good start, than
to kick off the
month of June and the
upcoming Summer months
with some Grand Slams.

Of course anglers are
not too pleased when
they have a certain time
to fish, and the weather
does not cooperate, but
we are trying to get in
between the rain and wind
to at least get anglers
hooked up to the fish
they are stalking.

To make matters harder
on the flyfisherman
with not alot of visibility
keep their spirits up,
with what we can do for
them, and the weather will
be getting better by the
upcoming weekend.

Of course, anglers that are

Fishing Report for June 1st, 2002!

Well the Month of May
has come and gone, and
it is time for the flyfishing
enthusiasts, to come down
and challenge their skills
for Tarpon, Bonefish, and
Permit. What a great
way to get the season
to a great start, than
to kick off the
month of June and the
upcoming Summer months
with some Grand Slams.

Of course, anglers not
trying the flyfishing,
it is still great on
light tackle, and
conventional tackle
to obtain one of those
Grand Slams.

It is time and our winds
here have subsided and
a perfect time for you
and your companion to tackle
those fish on fly or
light tackle. What a experience
for either the beginner fisherman
or advanced fisherman, to benefit
a day on the water, and
open their season for those Silver
Kings or Elusive Bones, or
Powerful Permit, I am quite sure
you will see many happy faces,
and memories to treasure for years
to come.

Isn't that what it is
all about, the grandure
and power of all of these
great saltwater gamefish,
whether you choose bonefish,
tarpon, or permit, the
memories are there forever!

Summer is here, and
our weather has been
Sunny daily and the
temperatures have been
actually in the lower
to middle 80's, here in
the Keys, and with
the light winds,
out of the East, makes
for a nice cool day
on the water, with
winds from 10-15 mph.

Well, as I said, it
has definitely arrived!
Flyfishing is definitely
on the incline with
big fish moving oceanside
and bayside. Fish
in the sizes of 60lbs
up to 100lbs plus, I
haven't changed our
fly patterns much, but
we are using of course our
deceiver flies, with
the tan and grizzly
hackle patterns, and
also using the black
and red fly patterns
and the fish are eating
them up!

With some great catches
and releases, and excitment
builds when our anglers
have boated some of the
big fish! So get excited
and geared up so you and other
anglers can come and experience
hands on and see the spectacular
jumps and leaps from the Big Silver
Kings and catch the fever
for yourselves.

We have been catching and releasing,
some big fish from 50lbs up to 130lbs
and it has been difficult the
last week with strong Easterly winds,
but the winds have since subsided,
and the bite will heat back up,
but has been a bit difficult for
the live bait anglers.

The fishing is going to only
get better and better! Don't forget
we offer evening trips for those
Silver Kings, and for those elusive
bonefish, it is a great
way to finish your day and evening
with a big fish on!

I would still like to say a special
thanks to all of the Anglers, and
the ones that are still coming to
Paradise to fish for The Best Saltwater
Gamefish we have to offer from the
Novices of anglers to the Experienced
Anglers, and it gets no better
than this.

Bonefishing has been great
on the Oceanside and in Everglades
National Park. With the
winds subsiding, we have
been finding mudding bonefish
in schools, ranging
in sizes from 9lbs up to
12lbs. Excellent challenge
on fly or light tackle.

Bonefishing on light tackle,
we have been fishing with live bait
shrimp, and Millie bucktail jigs with tan or
white heads, and tipped with a peice
of shrimp, makes for a good bite
in the muds for these elusive fish!

Fly patterns haven't changed with a
soft tan, with white bunny hair and
grizzly hackle, with crystal flash
tied on #6 hooks.

Permit fishing has still
been moderate, fishing with
jigs, tipped with shrimp
and uusing live bait shrimp
and crabs on the wrecks and rock
piles oceanside and in
the backcountry on the outgoing
tides, but with the
weather doing a gradual
warming may find them push
back up on the flats and
wrecks for some great rod
bending.

Remember to book your trips
accordingly, dates are full,
and there is still some
openings for fly and live
bait, don't miss out on
the best action available.

Snook Season has closed as
of May 1st, and the fishing
has been good, but you know
you can only catch and release
the fish to the open of season
again. The bite has been
getting better. With outgoing
tides it has locked them up in the
channels and pot holes in Flamingo.
There has been some snook that have
been caught and released with the snook
ranging in size from 6lbs
up to 8lbs. We have
been using light tackle with
our Infamous Hank Brown Hook Up
Lures, or Millie Bucktail jigs,
tipped with shrimp, and also using
live bait pillchards, and shrimp
on a number 3/0 baitholder hook.
But Snook Season closes June, July,
and August.

Everglades National Park
has been filled with redfish,
picking up them too on the
falling tide, and using live
bait shrimp, jigs tipped with
shrimp, using 1/8oz to 1/4oz
jigs to get them out of the
potholes and channels. Also,
there has been catches and releases
of trout, jack crevelle, ladyfish,
and mangrove snapper. The
redfish being caught and released
in the 9lb to 12lb range.
Also, sheepshead, snapper,
pompano, and our elusive bonefish,
being caught and released in
Everglades National Park!

We have had some reports about
patches offshore a bit, and
have caught several snapper,
porgies, barracuda, sharks,
and grouper! We have been
using pinfish, and live bait
shrimp, of course using a
chum slick over the patches
for the fish to come and eat!
Great dinner for anglers to
have after a day of fishing.

Our Spring fishing has finished,
but, has been very good, and
the upcoming Summer Months
will provide some excellent
fishing on the flats
or in the backcountry, or on
the patches. With Summer right
upon us, we leave another chapter
for the Spring fishing. Summer
is going to be as I said, an
excellent time also, and the
best challenge for even the novice,
intermediate, or advanced
anglers, and this too is
a great way to treat someone
with a Gift.

Whether this is for a late
Holiday gift, Birthday, Anniversary,
Graduation, or Just Getting Good
Grades, or just for that special
someone! It is the Perfect Getaway,
and the Best Relaxation for him or
her, or both.

So, Remember, Tarpon Season is
is here, and fly season is red
hot this time of year up through
July, and now is the time to get
your bookings and dates together for

Fishing Report for April 2nd, 2002!

Well, Spring is upon us,
and the temperatures
have moderating in
the lower 80's, here in
the Keys, amd with
the wind and getting
those tropical warm
breezes out of the
South, Southeast,
from 10-15mph.

It is Tarpon Season,
and the fishing is
getting geared up,
and we have jumped
a few from 90lbs up
to 100lbs, and with
the light winds,
the fishing can only
get better and better!

So lets get right to our
fishing reports!

I would like to say a special
thanks to all of the Anglers, and
the ones that are still coming to
Paradise to fish for The Best Saltwater Gamefish!

We have had some beneficial
mornings for flyfishing and
light tackle fishing either
on the Atlantic and in the
backcountry of Everglades
National Park!

Bonefishing has been good
on the Oceanside and in Everglades
National Park. With the
winds subsiding, we have
been finding mudding bonefish
in schools, ranging
in sizes from 7lbs up to
10lbs. Excellent challenge
on fly or light tackle.

Bonefishing on light tackle,
we have been fishing with live bait
shrimp, and Millie bucktail jigs with tan or
white heads, and tipped with a peice
of shrimp, makes for a good bite
in the muds for these elusive fish!

Fly patterns haven't changed with a
soft tan, with white bunny hair and
grizzly hackle, with crystal flash
tied on #6 hooks.

Permit fishing has also
been fair, fishing with
jigs, tipped with shrimp
and uusing live bait shrimp
on the wrecks and rock
piles oceanside and in
the backcountry on the outgoing
tides, but with the
weather doing a gradual
warming may find them push
back up on the flats and
wrecks for some great rod
bending.

The mullet are showing
up in the Backcountry, and
the tarpon are making
their Spring appearance, so
you know the season will be
kicking off with some great
reports!

Remember to book your trips
accordingly, dates are full,
and there is still some
openings for fly and live
bait, don't miss out on
the best action available.

Snook Season has reopened
February 1st, and has been
moderate, but the bite
is getting better. With outgoing
tides it has locked them up in the
channels and pot holes in Flamingo.
There has been some snook that have
been caught and released with the snook
ranging in size from 6lbs
up to 9lbs. We have
been using light tackle with
our Infamous Hank Brown Hook Up
Lures, or Millie Bucktail jigs,
tipped with shrimp, and also using
live bait pillchards, and shrimp
on a number 3/0 baitholder hook.

Everglades National Park
has been filled with redfish,
picking up them too on the
falling tide, and using live
bait shrimp, jigs tipped with
shrimp, using 1/8oz to 1/4oz
jigs to get them out of the
potholes and channels. Also,
there has been catches and releases
of trout, jack crevelle, ladyfish,
and mangrove snapper. The
redfish being caught and released
in the 9lb to 12lb range.
Also, sheepshead, snapper, spanish makeral,
pompano, and our elusive bonefish,
being caught and released in
Everglades National Park!

We have also been fishing the
patches offshore a bit, and
have caught several snapper,
porgies, barracuda, sharks,
and grouper! We have been
using pinfish, and live bait
shrimp, of course using a
chum slick over the patches
for the fish to come and eat!
